The Artwork of Patrick Bartal

Picture
Patrick Bartal is an artist who has been working for nearly 15 years.

Patrick's  artwork can be seperated into two distinct catagories.  The first of which can be classified as traditional landscape painting.  Throughout the years, Patrick has been inspired by the world that has surrounded him.  Nearly all of his paintings from this catagorgy have be born out of Patrick's life experiences.  The second catagory is that of figure work.  In this catagory, Patrick experiments with different media and techniques in order to convey the expressive nature of the human figure.

While Patrick was in high school, he studied under local Bucks County artist Robert Seufert.  In Robert Seufert's studio, Patrick experimented with different techniques in creating realistic oil paintings.  Patrick continued his studies at West Chester University from 2001-2005.  He received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Studio Arts and a minor in Art History.  From there, Patrick entered the Post Baccalaureate Art Education program at Moore College of Art and Design.  He studied there from 2005-2006.  In 2007, Patrick began his career in Art Education.  Patrick currently is the Art Teacher at West Philadelphia High School in the School District of Philadelphia.

Because of his dedication to his career in education, Patrick did not produce much artwork of his own over the span of the past 5 years.  However, 2011 has be a year of renaissance for Patrick.  Inspired by a month long trek across America, Patrick has been reinvigorated and is now creating artwork at a high rate of frequency.

Patrick Bartal now lives and paints in Lower Bucks County, PA.
